CDAC Progressive Challenge #7

Although I've been a member for a while at CDAC, it's my first time taking part in their challenges. Today, I have made a simple Purple treat box that has some smarties in it. It is for my neighbour's daughter 4th birthday. She has a sweet tooth! That's what I've been cooking for the past few days.

I've used the apple from Heart Song Designs and the sentiment from Sending Treasures.  I've colored them with Stampin' Up markers. The Purple paper is from Martha Stewart Cardstock and I have doodled with my Purple pen around the border of the triangular shape. The template to make the treat box is from "Pack-o-Fun", Issue Apr 2010, from my local library.

Here is what I've come up with:

Challenges:
CDAC PC#7 - What's cooking? (A treat box fit for a sweet girl!)
Pile It on - All about P ("P" for "Purple Treat box,, purple ribbon, purple pen)

Treat bag à la Halloween

I came up with this title as I was typing this post. In case you're wondering what it means, well simply it just says Treat bag for Halloween.

I'm using it for the YNS challenge and Karen offered everyone who emailed her the spider digi FREE. I have embossed the treat bag, colored the spider with copics and used some Halloween ribbons from the dollar store. The pumpkins and spider webs are from the dollar store too. The sentiment is from Create with TLC.

The spider is hanging from a piece of rafia rope and held with a brad fastener. I've also made this card for Papertake Weekly and we had to get some inspiration from this picture where I've chosen orange for my treat bag.

Here's my take:

Challenge:

Papertake Weekly - Autumn Flair from photo
If the shoe fits - Halloween/Fall
Wags and Whiskers #65- Fall
By the cute and girly - Anything goes
CCEE Stampers - Something related to fall (Halloween)

She wanted to give some treat bags to her friends and thus, I have helped her in the cutting of the image and the rest, she has done it herself. Hope for the Cure of Breast Cancer

For this past week, so many blogs have been talking about fighting Breast Cancer and I do hope that one day, there will be a cure for this disease. One of my aunts was diagnosed with this condition and she had to remove one of her breast unfortunately. She is now well though. I owuld like to dedicate this card to her because she is the living proof that even with only one breast, one can still survive...

I have inspired myself from Card Patterns and most of my colors are PINK for this cause. I have used Hope Butterfly, colored it with copics and used stickles. I have also embossed my paper with the Cricut Lite Bloom embossing folder and used some ribbons from my stash.

Challenges:
