Kaycee's coloring page

In less than two weeks is Back To School in my house and Kaycee (aged 5) is so eager to go! Everyday, she has been asking "Is it school day today, Mommy?". I'm smiling as I'm typing this post because I know in a few years time, she won't even want to go...

Simon Says Stamp is having a children's challenge for this month and so, I asked Kaycee if she wanted to do some coloring since she loves it!

Here is her coloring page and this will be her first blog post:

Happy Birthday Mylinh

It will soon be Mylinh's birthday next week and so I had to whip this up for her. I chose this cute Tina Wenke (Mouse-Bird-Ladybug cupcake) stamp and used my prismacolor pencils. I wanted it to be a simple card so I have use the dots embossing folder for my card, cut the birthday banner with my scissors, used the glue dots to glue the twine and added some flower resins (from Ebay) as some embellishments. I have also used my corner rounder for the corners for my image and the mat.

Let's Have Fun!

Summer is almost coming to the end and it sure has gone by so quickly! This summer has been sometimes very hot and sometimes very icky. We were able to go to a few attractions but we sure could have done more...I have taken a break from blogging since I wanted to enjoy the summer with my children and I sure have loved it!

Without further ado, I wanted to showcase the fun we had even when the weather was pouring and here is what I came up with by using the 2sisters bonus sketch:

I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and matted with green cardstock. I then stacked it onto Momenta patterned paper, which I had previously stitched and then added the sentiments with pop dots. Furthermore, the flower resins were glued with some glue dots.

CAS with a twist? Is it possible?

This week, I wanted to think outside the box for the CASE study, founded by Iwona. The CASE study is celebrating their 2nd anniversary and had the DT "think outside the box", that is, create something they have never done before. Well, for me, I wanted to try a CAS card but, with a twist...a pop-up inside! Is it possible? What was I thinking, right? Of course, it got me thinking...How the heck do I do that? This is what I came up with...

The digis are from the Camera set from Tiffany Doodles, which I won for asking a question on the blog. Thanks Tiffany!
 Here are the insides

I do hope you are able to see the pop-up. Usually opp-ups are made horizontally but I wanted to try a vertically pop-up card! Took me quite a while to try and make it but super easy to do! I should do this more often.
