Happy birthday Tiffany!

Tiffany at Tiffany Doodles celebrated her birthday two weeks ago (I'm a bit late) and this cake slice was one of the freebies that she generously gave away. I wanted to wish her a very happy (belated) birthday and I do hope that she had lots of fun enjoying it with friends and family.

I wanted to go for a simple card but with a girly style to it. Thus, I have used my Deco Fans Shell Punch around the page set from Martha Stewart to do the borders. I also machine stitched the ribbon from my stash onto the card and stamped the sentiment using the Memento Black ink pad. Furthermore, I have used my glitter pens to create some sprinkles on the cake. Hope you will like it Tiffany!!!

Remember

This card was made for my overseas friend, whom I miss so much. She is one of my best friends in the whole world!!! I haven't seen her in the past 5 years but we do skype from time to time when time permits. Hopefully, one day I can go back or vice-versa and we can meet again for real! In honour of our great friendship, this is for you my dear.

I embossed the beige cardstock and matted it over a brown one. I added some self-adhesived diamond for some bling. The image was colored with copics and prismacolored pencils. Some red stickles was added to the dress and bonets. I have used my paper piercer for around the card, used my black pen to give some accent to the border and on the patterned paper. I have also added some butterfly by punching with the Maped butterfly punch (something that I don't use very very often) and added some antennas onto them. The sentiment is from the October Afternoon stamp set.

All That Scraps and Marianne's Design Divas are having a DT call and so, let's cross my fingers. I have never been on a DT team before. I am still learning the odds and ends of cardmaking though and each time, there is something new to learn. It never ends :-)

Here is a close up of the image with the embossed background and bling.

Happy 2nd Birthday Sophie

It's been a while since I was in blogland. The reason being I was feeling blue, feeling like I did not know where to go, what to do, like I was feeling lost. I had to keep things going on around the house but I just di dnot feel my creativite juices flowing. I was cleaning up the craft room too together with my DD and mom but there was so much mess that it was impossible for me to craft! I'm a BIG procrastinator too...there, I said it!!! I so wish after doing this card, I will get back into the mojo of things. I have missed blogland...really...OH so much!

Sophie's 2nd birthday made me come out of my procrastination. She will be 2 this Friday and of course, I couldn't let my niece go without a card for her sweet birthday...

Here it is:

I have embossed the birthday cake first and then paper pieced with some scraps. I stamped the sentiment on the ribbon itself by using black Memento Ink. The pearls were colored using R32 and glued using glue dots. The cake was then glued with pop dots and given some dimension.

The number 2 is from K&CO chipboard and then, a sheep button was stitched. Everything was then glued using glue dots and double sided glue. I have used the Clean & Simple sketch #198.
