Celebrate

I know, I know Christmas is not here yet but for this new release over at The Stamping Chef, we had to use Bring On Christmas.

It's amazing how the light makes the card appear different! Papers are from Studio Calico Christmas Wonderland and the image has been colored with my prismas. Ribbons are from stash and the sentiment is from Avocado Arts.

Please do visit my teamies here as they have worked hard to bring this image to life.

Find Your Inner Turtle...

Hello friends, long time no see:-) Been busy here preparing for our short break coming this long weekend in Canada. Mondays is Victoria Day here.

Today, I have used the June Free Stamp of the month challenge which I got for free since it is a progressive challenge. This means that you get this free if you had participated in the challenge last month. You can still participate by buying the image from the store.

I have used i {heart} sketch #24 and since it was a beach image with turtles, I thought of adding some sun rays and not over embellish it. I did do the sky background but it's hard to see. Image has been colored with copics and the papers are from SheryK Designs.

Dude...Happy Father's Day

I know, I know...Father's Day was on Sunday but I was so busy that weekend with my daughter's birthday and Father's day that I missed posting this one...LOL.. This is for the man in my life:-)

Everything is from the Simon Says Stamp June Kit except the image and the twine and the white cardstock. Best kit ever! I would have entered it in the SSS challenge this week but missed the deadline.

I embossed the chocolate cardstock with one of the Kelly Purkey stamps, Versamark ink and clear embossing powder. I cut snippets from the Basic Grey 6x6 pattened papers which were included in the kit. I colored Vroom Vroom with my Premier Prismacolored pencils. To finish the card, I used some baker's twine on the side.

Rockability Rebel - The Stamping Chef

Finally Friday is here!!! Yippee!!! I can't wait for the weekend... Since summer is here, The Stamping Chef has decided to take a little break so that we can have some fun time with our family and friends. There will be no new release but we will still be here to play with the old digis. So, this week is Rockability Rebel and here is my take.

I have used the sketch from Seems A little Sketchy and the color inspiration from TSG.

Here is a close up.

I left the inside like this so that I can add something later.

I also want to send this to Maddy. Simon Says Stamp is doing a card drive for her and you can read her story here.

Please go visit my sisters here for their take on Rockabitlity Rebel.

Summer Fun Blog Hop

Hello everybody, it's a cloudy day today. We are here for this Summer Fun Blog Hop that Suzanne took over from Melanie. There is worth a $60 prize for this hop and it is being sponsored by Zannie Berry Scrapbooking. To be eligible to win this prize, you should comment on every blog and if you wish, you can become a follower of my blog too.

If you are coming from Sarah W, then you are on the right track. If not, then please start with Suzanne.

For my project, I decided to go with a summer layout about my daughter. I started scrapbooking a long time ago before she was even born but stopped later since I lost interest. But since I have tons of un-printed pictures, I told myself I need to get back in the rut!!! So, I printed some of my favorites and here it is...

This is her when she was only 2 years and time flies by so quickly. She had a great time on that day even though the water was icy cold. I went really simple and did not want to add a lot of embellishments since the pictures tell everything. We just bought that splash pad for her. Isn't she a doll in her bathing suit? Maybe I should add some words to tell the story right?

Here's the line up just in case you missed a stop:

Nancy
Sarah W
Jennyfer
Lucy
Teresa

That's it for me now...Until next time...The next stop is Lucy.

The Stamping Chef - For Dad

Hello everyone, this week at The Stamping Chef, the theme is for Dad. I went for something that is clean  and simple this time. I had this image for a while and forgot to use it. So, I took Fishy Bulb, colored with my prsimacolored pencils, embossed the background and used an EK border punch. Stickers are adhesived glitter ones from Colorbok.

Here is a side view of the card.

Please come and check out what my teamies have done for this challenge. Come and play and you might win 3 images from the store.
