Happy Birthday

Hope you had a very Happy Easter today everyone!! We went for the Easter Egg Hunt with the kids and they loved it of course...They also petted the animals and went on a wagon ride...Lots of fun and now, the kids are getting ready for bed.

My card today is a very simpel one since I wanted to highlight the image. I colored it with prismas and papers are from We R Memory Keepers. Used the sketch below and flipped it on the side. The image is from Sassy Cheryl, a freebie she gave for her followers a few years back on PCP.

Celebrate Spring

It's the first official day of Spring here in Toronto but you can't hear the birds chirping yet. It's so cold and windy...We had freezing rain all day yesterday. What is Mother Nature up to? I do hope this wil clear but it seems that rain is coming our way.

Papers are from My Minds Eye and I didn't even know I had those until yesterday..Talk about hoarding eh??? I colored the "Spring Baskets" image from Delightful Inspirations with my trusty prismacolors, added some butterflies, doodled the lines and finish it off with a sentiment from Avocado Arts "Springtime Celebrations". I used the sketch #10 from I{heart} sketches.

My First DT Post for The Stamping Chef

Woohoo!!! The day has finally arrived for me for my first DT post at The Stamping Chef. I still cannot believe my eyes when Tamara, the artist and owner of The Stamping Chef told me to join her team. Enough chit chat and let's get down to business shall we?

Today is another release day over at The Stamping Chef where Rocking Retro and Lucy Loo will be unveiled. I have used Rocking Retro and I have colored her with my trusty prismacolored pencils. I went with a simple design since my 3 year old is sick with strep. Thank goodness I colored her last week and it only took me less than 15 minutes to get her together.

Papers are from Basic Grey - Sugar Rush and ribbon is from my stash. If you look closely, you will see that I have added some stickles to the shoes, lips and heart glasses. To finish it off, I added some adhesived pearls.

Come check what the other DT members have in store for you here.

Happy Birthday DTC!!!

Designed To Color is having a birthday bash until tomorrow and they have been celebrating on their blog and on Facebook. You sure don't want to miss this as they are giving away awesopme prizes.

I chose to color the Birthday Penguin - Gift with my prismacolors and used the BG10 marker to do the surrounding. I matted the image onto aqua cardstock, used some washi tape, added some ribbon and finished off with two buttons. I used the sketch from Delightful Inspirations and for the DTC Challenge, I chose the Cake - Yellow - Presents row for my card.
I am entering this card also in the Catch The Bug Challenge which is Anything goes Saturday and Simon Says Stamp...Anything Goes. I am also entering this into the Anything Goes over at CDAC.

Spread the Love: A Clear & Simple Stamps Campaign

Hey there, Clear & Simple Stamps launched the "Spread The Love" campaign a week back where we were supposed to reveal our blog crush and tell the reason why you were inspired by that person. Well, my secret crush is Mary J because I love her simple CAS style! I have always wondered how she can do that as her cards reflects the simplicity, her gorgeous coloring and how her added subtle details make her cards POP!!! I doubt I will one day be able to follow her steps.

I have used the following color combo and here's my take:
