Happy 6th Birthday Evan

Last Saturday, my daughter and myself went to one of her classmate's 6th birthday where she could play mini golf-in-the-dark, bowling and jumping on bouncing castles. She was hooked and of course, by the end of the night, she did not want to go home.

I made an explosion box for this little guy and also, made my own wrapping paper. I have followed the tutorial from stampinuplisa on Youtube. It was very easy to follow and here is what I came up with:

This is the wrapping paper. I have used stamps that I had received as a swap and unfortunately, I don't have the names of these. The sentiment got smudged by my daughter, LOL!

Here is the explosion box:

Let the weight "fly" off!

I need to catchup on my blogs and it's not easy to create when you're under the weather. This card was created by using the CPS Sketch #11. They are celebrating their 5th birthday and everyday they have new sketches on the blog. Of course, they have prizes too!

Here's my take:

The inside:

I have used the Bamboo Leaves dew drop to create the green area on the yellow cardstock and the swirls were created by using a Bo Bunny Valentine stamp. The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry itself.

Recipe:

Papers: Blue, yellow (Martha Stewart Cardstock), flowers (K & Co Amy Butler Paper), Brown (Michaels)
Images/Stamps: Doodle Pantry Cowboy Birdie, Swirls (Bo Bunny)
Accessories: Double Loop scallop punch (Martha Stewart), bling (Prima Marketing), Bamboo Leaves (Memento Dew drop), Prismacolor pencils, Johnson's Baby oil.

Challenges:
Doodle Pantry (DPDC20)  - Use a Doodle Pantry image

Summer Fun Times

This is a layout that I have been meaning to do for a long time. I have tons and tons of pictures that are meaning to be scrapbooked but I got sidetracked by cardmaking. Of course, it took me a while to do it and I followed a sketch from the Scrapbook and Cards today magazine.

Here is my take:

Everything is from the Nikki Sivil's 2009 Summer kit that I had received.  The sun embellishments are Momenta stickers and I have used glue dots to pop them up! This is a picture of my daughter when she was two and her aunt when we went to Canada's Wonderland. They had lots of fun and even if the water was a bit on the cool side, she just couldn't stop having fun!!!

My Little Princess

It's been over a week since I last posted but I have been under the weather lately. I would love to post more, almost everyday but sometimes life gets in the way. Juggling the family, taking time to spend with the kids especially a very active 4 year old and getting some me time are not easy things. I know some people can do it. I try to do it as it comes but sometimes it's just too much for me. It's only me and hubby handling the kids. So, please forgive me for not posting anything.

I did have some time in between to alter a baby formula tin for my daughter and that's what I've come up with:

I have used some papers and embellies from Michaels. My daughter can now store her headbands either vertically or horizontally. The butterfly was made with the Martha Stewart punch and I added some Stickles. This was my first time using a glue gun and 2 sticks have been used just to glue the paper onto the tin...LOL! Maybe I did it the wrong way?

Onto my next creation...
