The Cat's out of the bag

This month at Delightful Inspiration {from the heart}, the free stamp of the month challenge is to use “The cat’s out of the bag” digi. It was free to those who participated last month and I decided to combine it with the weekly sketch challenge #32.

I coloured my image with my prismacolored pencils, then double mounted it with my square nesties and cut the upper right corner with my square punch. I also used my Martha Stewart punch for the behind the image borders and papers are from one of my old Cosmo Cricket pads.

FYI: Faith is having a design team call that is open until Sep 15. You can check out the details on her blog here.

I would also like to enter the following challenges:

Good Luck

Finally it's Saturday!!! Hubby is home and will help me with the kids. We don't have anything planned as yet but will have to take them out. They're way too active to keep them inside:-)

I was supposed to make this card for last week's challenge for Meljen's Designs but missed the deadline. But I am happy to use it for this week's challenge which is to use Fancy Fonts, speaking of which, it's the PTI Script sentiments set. Love that one! If you look closely, I offset the sentiment and gave it a hazed look :-)

Card Recipe:

Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Friday! Ah, it's been almost a month since I last posted in here. I wanted to get away from this and everything since the kids are on holidays and they are driving crazy...lol. I needed some time to think about what I was doing and where I needed to focus myself. Family came first in this case and still is. That's why I had to give all my time to my kids, they needed me to be there for them for these 2 months off school. Not an easy task but I strive to make it better everyday.

Enough chit chat and let's get back here. For today's card, I have used From The Heart Stamps sketch and used Tiny Triceratops. I colored it with my prismas as usual. I will also enter this card in the following challenges:
Doodle Pantry , Dutch Dare , Happy Campers , Paper Crafting Journey, Lil Red Wagon and Penny Paper- Crafty.

Card Recipe:
Image: Doodle Pantry Tiny Triceratops
Ink: printer
Paper: Cosmo Cricket, American Crafts.
Stamp: Avocado Arts
Extras: prismacolored pencils, Cuttlebug bubbles e/f, spellbinder dies, dimensionals, Kaiser pearls, black outliner

Later, after I was done, I found that I had used too much of the greens. It then dawned on me that I could go back and outlined the image to give a crisper effect. I totally love it now. What do you think?

Express yourself Colorful Friend

Hello, hello...I have been MIA these past weeks. I really lost my mojo and I was thinking if this was the direction I wanted to go to...I felt lost and tired after our last vacation and this got me thinking...I still don't feel completely back again and that is why I went with a simple card today.

The image is Painting Ladybug and it was given for FREE from Delighful Inspiration if you played last month's progressive challenge.

My lighting is not very good today and I tried fixing it but it just wouldn't work...

I'm entering this card into the following:

No Color or Monochromatic Challenge - The Stamping Chef

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge from The Stamping Chef. The theme this week is No Color or Monochromatic. I went with the No Color one and boy, was I stumped! It was very tricky to me and I was not sure if the face and hands could be colored or not?

Finally, I used up Stickles and embossed the card and the mat with both my e/f and Scor-Buddy respectively. Sentiment is from Create from TLC and ribbons is from stash. Image is Lucy's Cookie.

Please do visit my teamies here and leave them some love.

Patriotic Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this patriotic blog hop. Today, we were asked to create a project with the colors Red, Blue & White. I went with a CAS card using the Fresh Squeezed Stamps.

Used up some Washi tapes to create the strip in the middle and the star on the upper right is from Hero Arts. To finish the card, I used my corner rounder. I am the last stop and if you are lost, please find the line up below:

Please note that Susan and Ashley are giving away some candy. It would be great if you would become a follower of my blog. Enjoy the hop!

Click - Say Cheese!

Helloooooo, I'm back!!! My family and I took last week off to celebrate the first week of the summer holidays in Niagara Falls US. I have always wanted to be there but never had the chance to do so...We did have a nice time over there even though the weather was not cooperating the first day but the rest of the week, it was awesome!

Today, I am using the sketch from Mojo Monday and they're celebrating their 300th sketch! They are one of my fave sketches that I like to go to. Of course, there are tons of prizes to be won.

I chose to do my own patterned papers by first embossing the blue cardstock with my dots e/f and then adding some white pigment ink over. Secondly, I used the "Say Cheese" for a tone on tone pattern.

Stamps - Mama Elephant
