Always and Forever

Happy Monday my friends! I hope that you have enjoyed your weekend. Today, I decided to make an easel card using my "not-so-used ever" cricut machine. I had this cartridge that was eyeing me and begging me to come out called Elegant Edges. I chose the circle flourish and cut it twice at 5". I also cut a regular circle at the same size, 5". I then put it all together to make an easel card.

My image, True Love, comes from "From The Heart Stamps" and it was given to us as a freebie for Faith's anniversary. Since it's a wedding card, I wanted it to be white and everything was white except the image, which I colored with my prismas. The sentiment comes from an Inkadinkado set and the ribbon was attached with a brad. Simple and sweet! This idea came from Sandy

A side view of the card to show the embossing and the cuts made by my cricut. Please note that the picture seems a little red but this was done on purpose.

Say Cheese + Tutorial on how to color with Premier Prismacolored pencils

Happy Sunday everybody! I can't believe the weekend is almost over...Sigh but another week is starting in a few hours...Yay.

Today, I have a tutorial about how to color with your Premier Prismacolored pencils. I need to specify that I'm not a PRO and still learning. I just hope that this will help you to break out your Prismacolored pencils and play with them. It's FUN I promise! This post is loaded with pictures :-)

So, here are my starting materials:

  • Your image
  • Pair of scissors
  • Patterned papers
  • Tortillons or stumps
  • Baby oil or gamsol (forgot to include it - sorry)

I start with the hair first and all pictures will tell you which pencils I have chosen. You can double-click the pictures to enlarge them if you need to.

Now I color the shirt

Then I color the skin

Voila, the finished product! If you are fussy cutting, no need to worry about coloring outside the lines.

 Here is my finished card

Baby Girl

Hello everyone, hope you're enjoying the last few hours of your Sunday. I just finished up whipping up this card for our neighbor who had a baby girl last week. She's so adorable:-)

The challenge from Meljen's Designs challenge was "Take Five" where you had to use five elements on your project which are the same and I chose the felt banners. I colored up this cute Donkey with prismas and I wanted to keep it simple for the baby girl.

Here's a close up of the image and the inside. The sentiment comes from a Stampendous stamp.

My sketch comes from the I {Heart} sketch #34.

Happy Birthday Princess

Happy Wednesday! It's time for a C.C Designs Monthly Challenge. This week the challenge is Birthday and I chose to play with White, a stamp I had won a while back. I LOVE this stamp and I decided to go with paper piecing the dress of the princess.

Every little girl loves a princess in pink but this little girl is a green color lover too so had to make her wish come true. Here she is again showing all the dimensions I added for her accessories, which I got from the 3 bugs in a rug designer paper. I also added some red Candy Cane stickles (available in the SSS store) to her crown, earrings and dress since princess love sparkles.

My sketch comes from the Pile it On challenge #37. I would also like to enter this in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge where you have to mention what products you used from the Simon Says Stamp store (American Crafts Double Sided Tape, Red Candy Cane Stickles).

I'm also entering it in the Anyone for Anya challenge.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: White C.C Designs rubber
Ink: printer
Paper: Copic xpress, 3 bugs in a rug, cosmo cricket
Extras: nesties, Darice dots e/f, SU dimensionals, American Crafts Double Sided Tape (SSS Store)

Apples

Ah, apples...Yummy favorites snacks for everyone in our family...Bobbing For Apples is the image given out for the monthly progressive challenge for the "From The Heart Stamps". I colored the image with my prismas and added some MME stickers on the side. I embossed some red cardstock, added a border with my Fiskars punch and finished with some Cosmo Cricket paper for the bottom.

My sketch comes from Feeling Sketchy Challenge and I also wanted to enter the DT call for the "From The Heart Stamps" blog. I know that I will have more time on my hands since my kids are back to school and thus, I thought now is my chance to send in my application. I love to color with my prismacolored pencils without any gamsol or baby oil. I love to go with simpler designs and I love Faith's images. Wish me luck!

Enchanted Pumpkin

Hello peeps, it's been a while since I blogged. Kids have been back to school and I have been busy going back and forth with my son's school. He hasn't adjusted to kindergarten yet and thus, I had to check upon him. Poor him!

My sketch uses the sketch from "I {heart} Sketch #33 and since it's fall, I went with a fall theme. The image is from Doodle Pantry and I picked a colored one since I never did that before. I did add a little embossing and used some MME stickers for the sentiment.

Doesn't the image represent an enchanted pumpkin with the bear coming out of it?

Challenges:
Doodle Pantry - Use a Doodle Pantry image
Simon Says Stamp - Emboss
Milk Coffee Challenge - Fab fall colors
House of Gilli - Anything goes/ Fall
